RRSP Remainder of the Year Contribution Receipts

For investors of Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Spousal Registered Retirement Savings Plans (SPRRSPs), contribution receipts are issued for new money invested.

Remainder of the year contribution receipts report contributions made between March 1 and December 31, 2017.

First 60 Day RRSP Contribution Receipts

For investors of Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Spousal Registered Retirement Savings Plans (SPRRSPs), contribution receipts are issued for new money invested.

Between January 1 and February 28, we’ll send a receipt each time you contribute to your Franklin Templeton Retirement Savings Plan.

T5008/R18

If you withdrew units from your non-registered Franklin Templeton account last year, use your T5008 receipt in conjunction with your year-end statement to report 2017 capital gains or losses.

If you were a Quebec resident as of December 31, 2017, your T5008 will be sufficient for reporting your gains or losses. A Relevé 18 will not be issued. The RL18 is equivalent to the T5008 and reports the same information to the Quebec Ministry of Revenue.

T3/RL16

Issued for distributions paid to investors in 2017 from their holdings of Mutual Fund Trusts (specifically, funds other than Templeton Growth Fund, Ltd.).

For investors who were Quebec residents as of December 31, 2017, a T3 and Relevé 16 will be issued.

NR4

Issued to non-residents of Canada for any distributions and/or dividends paid by their fund in 2017 as well as any withholding tax that was collected at source

T4RSP/RL2

Issued for withdrawals made between January 1 and December 31, 2017, from the following account types:

  • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
  • Spousal Registered Retirement Savings Plan (SPRRSP)
  • Locked In Retirement Savings Plan (LRSP)
  • Locked In Retirement Account (LIRA)
  • Restricted Locked In Savings Plan (RLSP)
  • Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

For investors who were Quebec residents as of December 31, 2017, a T4RSP and Relevé 2 will be issued

T4RIF/RL2

Issued for withdrawals made between January 1 and December 31, 2017, from the following account types:

  • Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)
  • Spousal Registered Retirement Income Fund (SPRRIF)
  • Life Income Funds (LIF)
  • Locked-In Retirement Income Fund (LRIF)
  • Restricted Life Income Fund (RLIF)

For investors who were Quebec residents as of December 31, 2017, a T4RIF and Relevé 2 will be issued.

T4A(RESP)/RL1

Reports pension, retirement, annuity, or other income.

T4RIF/T4RSP/RL2 for Estate Accounts*

These tax slips report the contract value as of the date of the account holder’s death, and the contract value at the time of the account’s payout or transfer.

NR4 for Registered Plans*

Reports amounts withdrawn by non-residents of Canada from RRSP or RRIF accounts.

T5/RL3

Issued for taxable dividends paid to investors from their Franklin Templeton Corporate Class Funds and/or Templeton Growth Fund Ltd.

For investors who were Quebec residents as of December 31, 2017, a T5 and Relevé 3 will be issued.
