Franklin Templeton update: Fee Reductions for Franklin Global Growth Fund and Franklin Global Growth Corporate Class

In an ongoing effort to improve our pricing and services, we are pleased to announce the following changes to Franklin Global Growth Fund and Franklin Global Growth Corporate Class:

  • Effective October 1, 2020, fees for Series A, F and T of both funds will be reduced (see table below for fee reduction details).

  • Above fee changes mean that the fees of Series A, F and T will be the same as the fees of Series PA, PF and PT, respectively.

  • After the close of business on September 30, 2020, there will be no more auto-switches from the retail series to the preferred fee series (Series PA, PF, PT, if available) in both Funds.

  • Additional details on changes to the funds are outlined below:

    Franklin Global Growth Fund:

    • Series PA, PF and PT will be closed to new investors after the close of business on September 30, 2020 except that units of the fund may still be purchased by existing investors under systematic purchase plans that were in place as of that date.

    • Series PA, PF and PT will be closed to new investments, without exception, after the close of business on December 3, 2020.

    • Series PA, PF and PT units will be switched to Series A, F and T respectively at the close of business on December 4, 2020.

    • Impacted investors will be provided with 60 days’ notice by mail on or about September 4, 2020.

    Franklin Global Growth Corporate Class:

    • All series are closed to new investors. Investors who already own shares of this fund may continue to purchase additional shares of the fund.

    • Franklin Templeton has proposed to merge Franklin Global Growth Corporate Class into Franklin Global Growth Fund.

    • Investors will vote on this proposal at a special meeting on or about October 30, 2020. If approved, the merger will occur on or about November 20, 2020.

    • Impacted investors will be provided with an information package by mail on or about September 30, 2020. For more details on the merger, visit franklintempleton.ca/mergers.
